18th Lower Silesian Forum of Universities of the Third Age

On September 17, we were in Wrocław for a meeting with seniors. It was a special occasion: the 18th Lower Silesian Forum of Universities of the Third Age.
The main theme of the entire forum is “Dimensions of Safety,” which makes it a perfect opportunity to talk with seniors about online safety.
We discussed, among other things:

what phishing is and where they might encounter it,

the most common types of cyber fraud they may come across,
-
how to respond to suspicious phone calls or text messages,
-
where to report any attempted cyber threats.
We also took the opportunity to remind seniors of their rights in the electronic communications market, including the right to withdraw from a distance contract, the right to file a complaint, and the scope of support provided to consumers by the Office of Electronic Communications.
