Actively in Szczecin

Representatives of the Office of Electronic Communications Regional Branch in Szczecin held two meetings with seniors as part of the "I know what I am signing" campaign.

The first was held on 12 March 2024 and was organised by the Senior Academy - Knowledge Academy Association. The second meeting was held on 14 March 2024 at the invitation of the Senior + Club (Polish Red Cross). Our experts, Jacek Jarocki and Andrzej Żukowski, talked about the safety of seniors in the context of using telecommunications services and, above all, about their rights and obligations when concluding agreements with operators. They pointed out how to use the services and hinted at how not to be cheated.

Another meeting was organised on 12-13 March 2024. This time the participants were parents of pupils from the Szczecin Olympians Primary School No. 16 in Szczecin. The workshop, led by Jacek Jarocki and Andrzej Żukowski, addressed the topics of cyberbullying and safe navigation on the Internet, as well as the conscious use of telecommunication devices by children. Parents were introduced to phenomena such as child grooming, sexting and sextortion. Discussion also included the famous 'Pandora Gate' scandal involving the activities of leading youtubers in Poland. Approximately 170 people attended the meetings.
