Flashing its lights to the rhythm of algorithms, making space-like sounds and, most importantly, flawlessly carrying out coded commands, Photon the educational robot became the star of a series of programming workshops attended by students from:
- Gustaw Morcinek Primary School No. 1 in Warsaw;
- Maciej Aleksy Dawidowski “Alek” Primary School No. 52 in Warsaw.
Although the workshops looked like great fun at first glance, they were in fact an intensive exercise in developing future-ready skills. Programming Photon gave students an accessible introduction to logical thinking. They not only had to plan the robot’s route, but also predict the outcome of every command they entered.
The world of coding teaches patience – things do not always work as planned on the first attempt. With great enthusiasm, the students:
- Looked for errors – rather than giving up when something went wrong, they carefully analysed each instruction line to improve the robot’s performance.
- Worked as a team – the best solutions emerged when young programmers collaborated and discussed Photon’s next steps together.
The workshops demonstrated that programming is much more than simply “writing on a computer”. It is about creative problem-solving, logical thinking and effective communication. The excitement on the students’ faces each time Photon successfully completed a task was the best proof that learning technology can be a fascinating adventure.
