"Manipulation in social media" Webinar

Almost 18,000 participants took part in yesterday's webinar! Students from grades 7-8 from primary schools from all over Poland had the opportunity to explore one of the most important topics of the modern internet - manipulation in social media. In the dynamically changing digital world, it is extremely important for young users to be able to consciously use content available online, recognize threats and avoid the traps of manipulation.
During the webinar, we discussed key issues such as:
• fake news and disinformation – how to recognize them and not be fooled?
• clickbaits and misleading headlines – why do they work and how do they affect our decisions?
• the power of algorithms – how do they work and why do they show us certain content?
• deepfakes – how to recognize which ones are dangerous and why?
• how to defend yourself? – practical tips on how to use social media consciously and critically.
