Meeting at the Institute of Pedagogy of the University of Szczecin

Meeting at the Institute of Pedagogy of the University of Szczecin

On November 4, 2025, representatives of the Consumer Affairs Department of the UKE Delegation in Szczecin: Jacek Jarocki, Anna Gottfried-Stankiewicz, Adrianna Wesołowska, and Andrzej Żukowski, visited the Institute of Pedagogy at the University of Szczecin, located at ul. Ogińskiego 16/17. At the invitation of Dr. Aleksandra Sander, we had the opportunity to meet with second-year students of resocialization pedagogy.

During the session, we shared our experiences and presented the main principles of UKE's educational campaigns – "I click sensibly" (Klikam z głową) and "I know what I sign" (Wiem, co podpisuję). We discussed the threats that may accompany online activity, including hate speech, cyberbullying, unconscious sharing of personal data, and false information. Together, we considered how to talk about these phenomena with children and young people, how to develop their digital competencies, and teach critical thinking.

The second part of the meeting was devoted to the topic of conscious use of electronic communication services – we talked about what to pay attention to when signing contracts, how to read terms and conditions and price lists, and what rights consumers are entitled to.

We hope that the topics covered will serve as inspiration for further reflection on the responsible use of technology in educational and pedagogical work. We thank Dr. Aleksandra Sander for the invitation and the opportunity to present UKE's educational activities to future educators.
