Meeting With Senior Citizens in Szczecin

On 7 September 2024, representatives of the Office of Electronic Communications Regional Branch in Szczecin: Jacek Jarocki and Anna Gottfried-Stankiewicz attended a meeting organised by the Caritas Senior Citizens’ Club “Krzyś,” based in Szczecin.
Seniors are a special group of consumers. They are the ones most likely to fall victim to dishonest sales representatives working for operators. What can you do to avoid being cheated?
As part of the “I Know What I’m Signing” campaign, we advised on what you should pay attention to when concluding a contract at home, when you can withdraw from it, and how to pursue claims. During the workshops, we tried to show the audience the most common practices of fraudulent sales representatives in an understandable way. We also showed how to protect yourself from those practices.
