Partner2Connect ITU
31 january 2025
On 30 January, we attended the annual meeting of partners of the ITU Partner2Connect initiative in Geneva.
The event was an opportunity to meet leaders from 146 countries who join forces and exchange experiences to build an inclusive and sustainable digital future. “Partner2Connect Digital Coalition Annual Meeting - Partnering for a Digitally Inclusive and Sustainable Future” was organized to summarize the implementation of the “Partner2Connect Digital Coalition” initiative and present new complex projects/activities commitments for connectivity and reducing digital divide around the world.
As we enter a pivotal moment in the realization of universal and meaningful connectivity, the annual P2C meeting is being organized as a transformational gathering of global leaders, innovators and those who can make the difference. During the meeting, we discussed our collective progress while charting a path to sustainably connect the 2.6 billion people who remain offline. With over $54 billion in commitments from 460 entities in 147 countries, the P2C community exemplifies the power of collaboration to solve one of the most pressing challenges of our time
This year's program reflected the dynamic and evolving spirit of P2C, offering engaging discussions, interactive sessions and valuable networking opportunities. Together we will not only celebrate our common achievements, but also face the remaining challenges.
UKE presented a declaration of continuation of the #keepCTRL – I click sensibly! project, which received the Champion award in WSIS Prizes. As part of the project, UKE has undertaken to conduct a series of webinars for 100,000 primary school students by the end of 2025. The webinars will cover the topic of online safety for young users.
We will do it!
