11 october 2019
Today, as part of the European Coding Week, we visited The Museum of Technology and Transport in Szczecin – The Art Depot. Together with pupils from Elementary School No. 48 we were programming the Intelligent City on the premises of the historic Niemierzyn tram depot from 1912.
We connected the workshop with the history and technology lesson. In the museum's collections there are trams, buses, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, electronic and telecommunications equipment. The biggest attraction is the collection of 32 vintage cars and 56 motorcycles. You can see here e.g. Alba - the first three-wheeled motor vehicle from 1919, Sokół 100, harley Junak M100 from Szczecin, as well as Junak B23. Among the unique vehicles you can see cars remembering the times of Polish People’s Republic: Smyk, Mikrus or Mr. Samochodzik’s car.
