Rates for international calls remain unchanged

Starting from May 15, 2020, in accordance with the EU regulation, rates for international calls and SMSs from Poland to European Union countries are being updated.

Updated rates for international calls and SMSs from Poland to European Union countries do not change and cannot be higher than:

  1. 0.81 PLN net / 1 PLN gross per minute of connection;
  2. PLN 0.25 net / PLN 0.31 gross for the text message sent.

The maximum rates include the prices of services in mobile and fixed networks, charged per unit (e.g. per minute of connection) or for an SMS sent. The changes do not involve the prices of bundles covering international calls and SMS services to numbers from EU countries.

Remember – there is a difference between roaming calls and international calls.

You make international calls when you are in your home country and you are calling abroad. You can find rates for international calls in your operator's price list. Roaming refers to the situation when you are out of range from your domestic provider e.g. when you are abroad and you are making a call. If you are calling from Germany to Poland, for example, it will be a roaming connection. The same situation happens when you want to call Belgium from Germany.

The Roam Like at Home regulation applies in the European Union countries from June 15, 2017. It means that people are using services on the same terms as in their home country, without the need to pay additional fees.
