Science Picnic in Stargard

On 28 September 2024, employees of the Department of Regulation and the Department of Consumer Policy of the Office of Electronic Communications: Andrzej Wąsik and Anna Gottfried-Stankiewicz, together with the Director of the Office’s Regional Branch in Szczecin, Mr Wojciech Rymer, took part in the Science Picnic. The event took place in the Castle Park near the Białogłówka Tower in Stargard.

Organised by the Stargard Science Centre “Filary” and the Stargard Cultural Centre, the Picnic aimed to promote Science, Innovation and History. It was also a chance to gain insight into the work of the Office of Electronic Communications to the participants. During the Picnic, the Office’s employees talked to children about staying safe online. They taught them how to use telecommunications devices prudently, avoid high charges and secure their data. The event ended with competitions organised to quiz the guests on what they learned, with the participants receiving small gifts.

The guests also had the unique opportunity to see the latest model of the Mobile Measurement Station, designed for monitoring and tracking radio signals. The Chief Specialist from the Department of Regulation introduced the numerous interested parties to the ins and outs of their daily work in an understandable manner and demonstrated the functionality of the Mobile Measurement Station vehicle.
