Senioralia in Kraków
16 june 2025
On June 13, the Office of Electronic Communications took part in the 12th International Senioralia in Kraków – the largest event for seniors in Europe, organized by the Manko Association – Głos Seniora and the International Institute for Social Development.
This year, the event gathered over 7,000 participants from more than 125 municipalities and 10 countries.
The celebrations began with a colorful senior parade led by the Honorary Ambassador of Głos Seniora – Sobiesław Zasada. In Jordan Park, seniors could attend various lectures and workshops, and speak with experts, including representatives of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) and the Ministry of Health. Participants also had access to free preventive health screenings (including hearing, vision, blood pressure, and blood sugar testing).
The artistic part of the event was just as vibrant – featuring Latin dances, performances by stars such as Andrzej Rybiński, fashion shows, and a lively disco led by the incredibly energetic DJ Wika – the oldest DJ in Europe :-)
The Office of Electronic Communications provided a wide range of tips and information on the safe use of electronic communication services. Seniors learned how to avoid phishing scams and how to use modern technologies safely – a skill that’s increasingly important, especially for older adults.
See you next year :-)
