Sensitivity towards people with disabilities at the Technical and General Education School Complex in Skoczów

On 29 of October 2024, Małgorzata Klimczuk and Elżbieta Michalková from the Accessibility Unit, Department of Consumer Policy conducted workshops in the series " Sensitivity towards people with disabilities". The classes took place at the Technical and General Education School Complex in Skoczów (Silesian Voivodeship). A total of 60 students took part in the workshops and learned not only what kind of assistive technologies are used by people with various types of disabilities but also the basic signs in Polish Sign Language.
We hope that the classes we conducted helped overcome fears when contacting people with disabilities and taught workshop participants how to communicate with deaf people.
