The “Safe Senior” conference in Żmigród

The “Safe Senior” conference in Żmigród

Last Friday, we had the pleasure to participate in a regular “Safe Senior” conference organised by the Marshal’s Office of Lower Silesia. This year, the meeting took place in Żmigród. The event was attended by many notable guests, including the Secretary of State and Government Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity, Janusz Cieszyński. The organisers were represented by Lower Silesia Marshal Cezary Przybylski and Trzebnica County head Małgorzata Matusiak.

The conference was inaugurated by the Director of the Security Department in the Marshal’s Office of Lower Silesia, Agnieszka Sokołowska, and Mayor of Żmigród, Robert Lewandowski. UKE experts, Milena Górecka and Katarzyna Grabowska, staged a lecture on online security, citing examples of scams that any consumer may fall victim to. In addition, tips were offered on how we can protect ourselves and our family members.

Topics discussed on the meeting were, are and will be very relevant to consumers. For this reason, it is very important to promote activities and increase the awareness of cybersecurity among service users, no matter their age.

Every one of us is a consumer. Every day, we should become more and more aware of cybersecurity. We encourage you to extend your knowledge thanks to free-of-charge courses designed by the UKE as part of the J@Online campaign and available at cik.uke.gov.
