UKE Webinars – Personal Data and Online Image

UKE Webinars – Personal Data and Online Image

February at the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) was dedicated to digital safety education. Following the great interest in our first webinar series on hate and violence online, it is time for another important step. In March, we are delivering online sessions to primary schools across Poland, focusing on personal data and online image.

Why is this so important?
In the age of social media and online gaming, the boundary between what is private and what is public is becoming increasingly blurred for children. During our online sessions, we explain to students:

  • what personal data are and why they must be protected,
  • what shapes our online image,
  • what a digital footprint is and why it stays with us for years.

Our goal is to raise awareness of how important it is to protect personal data, and to show that every click and every piece of shared information contributes to our online image — one that may affect relationships with peers and even future career paths.

This is not the end of the educational journey
The topic of online image is the second stage of our webinar series. We are already preparing for the next challenge: “AI risks.” We want children to be able to critically assess content generated by algorithms and to know how to use new technologies safely.

Knowledge is the best shield in the digital world. Our webinars combine expert content with language tailored to young audiences, helping them understand how the internet works.

We would like to invite primary school teachers to register their classes for our webinars. Let’s work together to ensure that our students become aware and safe internet users.
