We would like to invite you to a debate on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day

On the occasion of the World Consumer Day, we invite you to the debate "Awareness and prudence - essential features of a consumer".

Where: University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Faculty of Law and Administration.

When: 14.03.2025, 12:00.

In the agenda:

• Discussion on the issues related to price promotions and the complaint and mediation process, prepared by the Provincial Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Olsztyn.

• Tips on safe online shopping, presented by the Municipal Police Headquarters in Olsztyn.

• Information on contracts concluded remotely and off-premises, presented by the District Consumer Ombudsman in Olsztyn.

• The Financial Ombudsman will discuss the role of his office in consumer protection and the issue of unauthorized payment transactions.

Joanna Olszewska from the UKE Branch office in Olsztyn will talk about the threats related to electronic communication, such as online fraud, phishing, and dangerous links. We will also discuss ways to recognize data theft attempts, how to secure your devices, and consciously use digital services. Part of the presentation will be devoted to educating consumers, including their rights in the digital world, the rules pertaining safe use of the Internet, and methods of protecting privacy and personal data.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Financial Ombudsman, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the Office of Electronic Communications, the Olsztyn District and the Trade Inspection.
