11th International Consumer Science Conference
12 june 2025
The 11th International Consumer Science Conference, held under the theme “Consumer Protection – Challenges in the Third Decade of Consumer Ombudsman Activity,” is now behind us!
We would like to thank all the experts, practitioners, and consumer law enthusiasts who came together for this exceptional event.
During the conference, we addressed the most pressing challenges facing consumers in a rapidly evolving market landscape. A key focus was on digitalization – both as a driver of service market development and as a source of new risks and challenges for consumer rights protection. The Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) was represented by Milena Górecka, Head of the Consumer Policy Department.
The conference served as a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among:
- the academic community
- consumer ombudsmen
- representatives of public administration
- consumer organizations
- the business sector
The event was organized by: the Association of Consumer Ombudsmen, the Chair of Intellectual Property Law of the Jagiellonian University, the Department of Civil, Commercial and Private International Law at the Krakow University of Economics, and the Mercatus et Civis Foundation.
We thank all participants for their active involvement and shared commitment to strengthening and modernizing consumer protection in the era of digital transformation!
