"Data and image protection online"

In today's world, the Internet is an integral part of the lives of children and young people. Using the Internet brings many benefits, but it also involves threats that young users are often unaware of. For this reason, to increase awareness about safe use of the Internet, we organized another webinar addressed to grade 6 students on data protection and image protection online.

Security of personal data and privacy on the Internet:
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn what is the scope of personal data and the basic principles of its protection online. We discussed how important it is to never share your full name, address or phone number online.

Online image protection:
The second important topic was image protection on the Internet. Students learned how to create an online image and the consequences of publishing not well considered images, videos or entries on social media. We pointed out that anything once posted online may remain there forever, which may affect their future - even if deleted. We've discussed how to take care of your online reputation and what precautions you should take to stay in control of what you share online.

Thanks to such initiatives, we hope that the younger generation will be better prepared to deal with the challenges of the digital world. The protection of personal data and image online are key elements in the education of children and young people, which will help them navigate the Internet safely.
