The fraudsters rob the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

The 28th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is approaching. Every year on the second Sunday of January, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity brings together people around the world for one purpose - to do good and raise funds for a noble cause. Unfortunately, even this event is used by the fraudsters. Just a few years ago we heard about the attacks on people with charity cans and attempts to steal them. Together with the technology development, the criminals wanting to get rich, went a step further. Currently there is a problem with fake online fundraising. First such cases before this year’s Grand Finale were reported by Olsztyn’s branch of Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Fake text messages or emails encouraging people to join the fundraising happen very often. Watch out for phishing cases! Each time you should check the source of information and make sure you send the money to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, not to a fraudster’s account. The official website is: WOSP.ORG.PL. Every message with a link to a different website may be a phishing attempt.
