World Consumer Rights Day in Szczecin
17 march 2025
March 15 is World Consumer Rights Day. This is a great opportunity for institutions supporting consumers to exchange experiences that will improve the quality of provided assistance. We want to educate, support and help as best we can.
This year's celebration of Consumer Rights Day in Szczecin was organized on Friday, March 14, 2025. The Municipal Consumer Ombudsman in Szczecin - Ms. Longina Kaczmarek, invited, among others, representatives from the UKE Branch office in Szczecin: Director Wojciech Rymer, together with employees: Jacek Jarocki, Michał Kowalczyk, Andrzej Żukowski and Anna Gottfried-Stankiewicz. Director Rymer's speech showed the full spectrum of issues that consumers who use postal and telecommunications services have to deal with, and also indicated how important proper education can be in the fight against dishonest entrepreneurs and their commercial practices.
The guests of the celebrations were not only consumer ombudsmen from various cities and counties of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, but also representatives of institutions that cooperate with the Municipal Consumer Ombudsman on a daily basis: the Trade Inspection Inspectorate in Szczecin, the Energy Regulatory Office, the Consumer Federation, the Faculty of Law of the University of Szczecin.
We want to thank you for allowing us to be among such a distinguished group of speakers. We promise to constantly and passionately develop in providing assistance to consumers.
